Tracey Williams studied in London and New Zealand and has a Master in Fine Arts with Honours from the Elam School of Fine Arts at Auckland University, where she has taught since completing her postgraduate studies in 2003. Tracey has exhibited her work in both public and dealer galleries in New Zealand, and has been represented in the USA and at the biannual International Art on Paper Fair in Australia. She has also participated in several high profile design projects. She is a founding member of an artists' collaboration, The Friendly Girls Society, that has created projects in artist-run spaces and public art institutions. This year, Tracey's work featured at Bowen Galleries in a solo show called Portals, which was followed by a Friendly Girls Society project jointly supported by the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki and Auckland City Council.
